We've taken each of these elements and expanded in greater detail below:
A new patient portal:
This new patient portal has been launched and tested with selected patients and as well as being easy to use, personalised and confidential, we are also seeing a faster turnaround for patients receiving their test results.
Over the next few days, registered patients will be receiving an email inviting them to register to their personal and confidential patient portal.
The portal brings our patients many benefits:
We are resuming Health Screening at New Broad Street clinic with new safety measures from Monday 3 August.
To reduce the amount of physical contact each patient and consultant spend with each other, the appointments have been split into a two-step process.
Step 1: A video consultation between patient and GP, which will include a detailed review of the patient's medical history and questionnaire results.
Step 2: An appointment at the New Broad Street clinic. Consultants will be in full PPE, and we encourage patients to wear a face mask.
We will walk through each step with our patients, and what to expect, when the appointment is scheduled. We also have a robust process to ensure patients do not visit with COVID-19 symptoms.
GP consultations at the New Broad Street clinic:
Our GP consultations have resumed at New Broad Street clinic with new safety measures.
Initially, all GP appointments will take place via telephone or video. If, however, our GPs feel it necessary to see their patient face-to-face we can now provide that service and an appointment will be made suitable to the patient.
Patients visiting the New Broad Street clinic can be assured that we take the safety of our practitioners and visitors to the site seriously. There will be cleaning stations for visitors to use on arrival, which includes cleaning wipers, masks and gloves; and the reception area has been modified to ensure a social distance is maintained.
New services antibody and immunity testing:
Our GPs can now test for COVID-19 antibodies with a simple blood test at the New Broad Street clinic, which is conducted with a 15-minute appointment. Results will then be returned to the employee, and employer with consent, within 24 hours.
We are also able to test patients for active COVID-19, which can be performed with a home testing kit. Here are the steps for the testing:
Step 1: The kit is posted to the patient's home address with full instructions on how to take the test.
Step 2: The patient returns the sample in the post.
Step 3: The results are shared with the patient, and employer with consent, by a GP within 48 hours of the sample reaching the lab.
If you would like further information regarding these services, please contact your relationship manager directly or complete the form below and we will be in touch.
Telephone and video consultation:
These unprecedented times have driven us to use technology to maintain patient appointments. Telephone and video consultations have been well received and in high demand. These services will continue, as will other remote facilities.
